والد صاحب چونکہ فارن سروس میں تھے، بچپن تھائی لینڈ ، انڈیا اور نیپال میں گزرا۔ لڑکپن میں اسلام آباد کے اسکول و کالج میں کھیلتے کودتے رہے۔ نہ کوئی فکر نہ کوئی الجھن۔ کراچی یونیورسٹی کے فلسفہ ڈپارٹمنٹ میں پڑھ کر اپنے آپ کو سقراط نہیں تو کم از کم بقراط
ضرور سمجھا اور پولیس میں زندگی کی بقیہ بہاریں بیتیں۔ خوش قسمت ہوں کہ والدین کا سایہ بہت عرصہ سر پر رہا، گھر والوں اور دوستوں کا پیار ملا۔ دوران سروس دوسرے ممالک دیکھنے کا بھی خوب موقع ملا۔ ریٹائرمنٹ کے بعد سوچا کہ کیوں نہ اپنے تجربات اور خیالات کو تحریری شکل میں لے آؤں۔ مقصد صرف ایک تھا کہ معاشرے کے مسائل پر سوچنے کی دعوت دوں جو مجھ ناچیز نے پولیس کی وردی میں محسوس کیے۔ کچھ بچپن کے واقعات اور دوست احباب کے ساتھ گزرے لمحات بھی شامل کر دیے کہ دلچسپی برقرار رہے۔ یہ مضامین روز نامہ جنگ اور نوائے وقت میں شائع ہو چکے ہیں۔
اس ادنی سی کوشش میں اگر کسی کی دل آزاری ہو تو میری کم علمی سمجھ کر در گزر کر دیں
اور اگر کوئی بات اچھی لگے تو دعا دے دیجیے گا۔

foreword
As father was in the foreign service, childhood was spent in Thailand, India and Nepal. As a boy, he used to play in school and college in Islamabad. No worries, no confusion. Studying in the Philosophy Department of Karachi University made himself, if not Socrates, then at least Hippocrates
He must have understood and spent the rest of his life in the police. I am lucky that the shadow of my parents stayed on my head for a long time, I got the love of family and friends. During the service, there was also a good opportunity to see other countries. After retirement I thought why not put my experiences and thoughts into writing. The aim was only to invite reflection on the problems of the society that I felt in the uniform of the police. Add some childhood events and moments spent with friends to keep the interest alive. These articles have been published in Roz Nama Jang and Nawa Vaqt.
If anyone is offended by this small effort, consider my lack of knowledge and pass it by
