| General note | "Naqoosh" is a renowned Urdu literary magazine founded by Muhammad Tufail (1914-1983), a prominent literary figure from Pakistan. Tufail was not only an accomplished poet but also a distinguished editor and critic. He established "Naqoosh" in 1938, and it soon became a significant platform for modern Urdu literature, showcasing the works of established and emerging writers, poets, and intellectuals.<br/><br/>Under Tufail's editorship, "Naqoosh" played a pivotal role in promoting progressive and modernist literature in Urdu. It provided a platform for writers who were part of the Progressive Writers' Movement, which aimed to use literature as a tool for social change and political activism.<br/><br/>The magazine featured poetry, fiction, essays, and critiques, contributing significantly to the intellectual and cultural landscape of Urdu literature. Some of the most prominent Urdu writers and poets of the time, including Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Saadat Hasan Manto, Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi, and Sibte Hassan, were associated with "Naqoosh."<br/>Tufail's vision and editorial direction made "Naqoosh" a beacon of literary excellence and progressive thought in Urdu literature. Though the magazine ceased publication in the early 1950s due to financial constraints and political pressures, its legacy continues to inspire generations of Urdu writers and readers.<br/><br/>نقوش نے کئی اہم موضوعات پر خبر چھاپے ہیں ۔ جو اپنی اپنی حیثیت میں ضرور<br/><br/>باقی رہیں گے، جس میں غزل میر شخصیات میر اور افسانہ غیر خاص طور سے قابل ذکر ہیں۔ ادھر ایک سال سے ہم مکاتیب غیر مرتب کر رہے ہیں۔ ہزاروں اہم اور<br/><br/>تاریخی خطوط (غیر مطبوعہ جمع کئے جاچکے ہیں جن میں سرسید، حالی، اکبر، اقبال، مولانا مٹی ڈوی نذیر احمد حکیم اجمل خان محسن الملک، وقار الملک ، متیل سلیمان ندوی اور ابوالکلام آزاد ایسے<br/><br/>تمام زنده کئے جاچکے ہیں ۔<br/><br/>ہمارا ارادہ ہے کہ خطوط کی شکل میں جتنا سرمایہ ادھر اُدھر بکھرا پڑا ہے وہ سب کا سب ایک جگہ جمع ہو جائے ۔ تاکہ تمام علمی و ادبی اور سیاسی دستاویزیں ایک جا ہو کر نے والے<br/><br/>حضرات کے آئیں ۔<br/><br/>را کے بھی کام ان کی راہ کھانہ کیاگیا اس بات کا ڈر ہے کہ آئندہ ملک ہی نہ ہوجائے<br/><br/>کے ہنگاموں میں بار اکتاہی قیمت اور نایاب سرمایہ ضائع ہو چکا ہے سرے سے علی عمران کے انفرادی سرمائے سے اجتماعی سرمایہ اردو ادب کے تمام طالب علموں کے لئے مفید بھی ہو گا۔<br/><br/>اور اس طرح محفوظ بھی ہو جائے گا۔<br/><br/>مجھے خدا کے فضل اور آپ کے تعاون سے پوری امید ہے کہ ہم پانچ ہزار<br/><br/>سے کچھ زیادہ ہی نا در خطوط جمع کر لیں گے ۔ میرے تمام احباب نے اس اہم خدمت کے سلسلے میں مجھ سے بھر اور تعاون<br/><br/>فرمایا ہے ۔ احباب کے تعاون ہی سے ہم نے ہزاروں نار خطوط جمع کرلیتے ہیں۔ جس پر ادارہ نقوش ا ہیتہ فرار ہے گا ۔ سندھی بھی ہوں کہ آپ کے پاس بھی جتنے زندہ اور مرحوم مشاہیر کے خطوط ہوں<br/><br/>وہ سب اذریعہ رجسٹری) مرحمت فرمادیں۔ میں اس ضمیر کی تکمیل کے بعد وہ تمام خطوط بصد شکریہ وا<br/><br/>پیس کر دوں گا۔ اگر اصل خطوط دینے میں ناقل ہو تو ان کی نقل ہی عنایت فرما دیں ۔ تمام اہم خطوط کو فوٹو آفسٹ سے شائع کیا جا رہا ہے ۔<br/><br/> Naqosh has published news on many important topics.
